Why is this so important?
There’s high risk of election interference during the extra time it takes for mail in ballots to be counted after Election Day. Americans are accustomed to the media reporting election results as they come in on Election Night; the ensuing days while mail in ballots are counted create an opportunity for misinformation and civil unrest to propagate.
That’s why hands down, our best bet to a fair and safe election is to get as many votes counted as possible by Election Night. Voting early in person is ideal, but there are many options.
